Francesca Woodman analysis
Francesca Woodman was a photographer who started taking impressive pictures at the age of 13. Woodman was inspired by symbolism, surrealism, fashion photography and Baroque painting. Her work mostly addressed; gender, sexuality, self, feminism, corruption, social injustice, death and many more. In her work, she intended to combine performance, play and self-exposure. In her photographs she created extreme and often disturbing psychological states, ghostly imagery and surreal or claustrophobic scenarios.
