TARGETS:
Screengrab editing techniques.
When you write about your own work (www and ebi) you need to look more closely and work out exactly what it is that you do well and what needs to be improved. At the moment you always write the same thing. Do you meet the success criteria?
When you take photographs, try different compositions, distances and points of focus so you have a breadth to choose from.

Look UP!
In this task, I had to look up and photograph building viewpoints. I needed to take 20-30 images with a phone or camera, from a low vantage point
Best edit
WWW:
- captured extreme perspective,
- the location was pretty
- The way the sky was reflected on the windows gives the photos an interesting appearance.
- If I took more pictures
- if the pictures were froma lower angle,
- If I captured the shot from a point fully facing the buildings and sky
Reflecting & Mirroring (Look Up)
- Explain the task: 'In this task I developed....'
- In this task I developed the look up images that I took and had to apply the mirroring process and edit the same image in different ways
WWW: the effect is pretty cool, and looks quite futuristic
EBI: If I edited the picture in 4 different ways
EBI: If I edited the picture in 4 different ways

WWW: the colours and mirroring effect looks nice
EBI: if took more pictures of different flowers and if the images were in focus

In this task I was required to take pictures of four different compositions

Framing
using mirrors
I had to use a mirror in this task to frame various objects so that both the background as well as the reflection could be seen.
Best edits
WWW:
- I was able to find pairs of opposites
- the focus was good and
- Included the area around the mirror as well as the reflection
- If the composition was better
- if no one was reflected in some of the pictures
- if it was more well exposed
Formal Elements
- In this task I was required to take pictures of seven formal elements
- Formal elements helps with the way you capture your image in a photograph. Compositions help with this by representing any element you want to achieve.
- We have focussed on tone, line, colour, contrast, form, texture and pattern
Best edits
WWW:
- I took pictures of all the 7 elements
- Some images had more than one element
- I prioritised aperture to manipulate depth of field.
- If I took more pictures of contrast
- Some images were too blurred
- If I took more pictures
Independent development
Sebastian Magnani
- In this task I was required to choose an idea to develop from the themes : Mirroring ,Beauty in Decay, Look Up, Reflection. My chosen development was reflection. Sebastian Magnani creates objective images. He doesn't reflect the subject that he photographed directly, but rather their reflections in a round mirror. This creates a fantastical yet surreal effect and it makes us consider the way we look at things above. His photos emphasise the alluring beauty of the sky or nature above.
- Sebastian Magnani carefully places a round mirror in an outdoor setting to capture two landscapes at once. In some of the photos that he captures, the ground and the sky contrast each other, creating a dramatic scene, others connect to each other.
- Sebastian Magnani uses multiple exposures and colour in creating this work. This creates a dramatic effect because of the setting and capturing 2 landscapes at the same time. This helps to show the photographer's point about creating emotional and dramatic scenery and showing the beauty of nature.

WWW: the subject I chose to photograph suited the theme as grass and the sky contrasted each other, most images were in focus, and took photos of lots of different colours.
EBI: If both the ground and the reflection were in focus and not only one of them, and if I took photos in different places, and photos of different reflections
EBI: If both the ground and the reflection were in focus and not only one of them, and if I took photos in different places, and photos of different reflections
Second development
Explain what you chose to develop in this set
I decided to develop this set since most of the photographs were of the same flower and the reflections were out of focus, some blurred, or the background was out of focus, and the mirrors were blurred.

WWW:
- I managed the exposure
- very well as well as my ISO
- the images were in focus
- If I had better focus and if the objects were more interesting and colourful. Next time I should go to a different location with more buildings, and photograph at a different time of day, and have people in one of the reflections
Third development
Explain what you chose to develop in this set
For this set, I decided to travel to downtown London where there are many buildings and people so that the reflections would be more interesting and distinct. The previous sets were all centred on nature and flowers, which became dull and the reflections were all quite similar.

WWW:
WWW:
- The photos were in focus, and they were more interesting to look at as the previous ones were all very similarThe
- The range of colours, and the people in the reflections creates a more dramatic effect, as well as the contrast between the people and the background, or the building and the grass makes it quite pleasant to look at
- If the phone wasn't visible in the pictures, using a tripod might help
- next time I should go at a different time, preferably at night, and plan it in advance so it looks more professional
